Welcome Amy Aislin

Today we have
Amy Aislin with Christmas Lane!

It’s recent college graduate Zach Greenfeld’s favorite time of the year and he’s just received a temporary gig planning Lighthouse Bay’s Christmas parade. Not only does it speak to his penchant for organization, it also puts him face to face on a daily basis with his unrequited crush—Holland Stone. But his new job starts off in disaster when the most important float—Santa’s sleigh—gets damaged.

Holland needs to win the Lighthouse Bay Christmas parade float competition in order to grow his new dollhouse-making business. The prize is an article in a major city newspaper, and nothing beats free advertising. Except, eager to help the adorable parade organizer, he volunteers to help fix Santa’s sleigh, leaving no time to work on his own float, and putting his prize at risk.

Damaged floats, snowstorms, and a last-minute parade emergency force Zach and Holland closer than ever. All they need is a little bit of Christmas magic to help them realize they belong together.

Excerpt:

“Christmas is my favorite time of year,” Zach said.

“You don’t say.”

Something soft hit him in the back. Whirling, he gaped at a smirking Holland, then at the crumbled snowball at his feet.

“You didn’t!”

Holland’s smile widened. “Oh, I did. What are you gonna do about it?”

This was a new side to Holland. One Zach was totally on board with. He grinned and scooped up some snow. “It’s on!” A second snowball hit him in the shoulder. He straightened, gave a war cry, and—

Where’d Holland go?

Whack. A snowball to the back of the head. Pieces flaked off and fell down the back of his jacket.

“Ahhhhh!” Hopping around, he tried to get it out to the chorus of Holland’s laughter. “Cold, cold, cold.”

Holland poked his head out from the other side of the Christmas tree. Another snowball hit Zach in the thigh.

“Oh, this is war, Holland!”Giving a great cry, Zach tackled Holland to the ground. Snow sprayed in an arc around them, getting everywhere. In their hair, in their boots, up pant legs, underneath jackets that got rucked up as they tumbled, exposing skin to the elements.

“Ha ha!” Zach crowed from atop Holland, where he straddled Holland’s thighs, arms in the air in triumph. “I win!”

“You think so?” Holland flipped them, and all of a sudden, Zach found himself on his back, staring up at a laughing Holland.

He froze as calloused fingertips lightly brushed his cheek, sweeping away a small patch of snow. Holland’s hair, mostly white with streaks of dark brown, almost sparkled in the brilliant lights of the tree. His weight pressed Zach into the snowy ground, but Zach didn’t register the cold or the hard earth. Pressed together from thigh to chest, all Zach felt was Holland’s hard body against his own. His heart pumped. What would he see in Holland’s eyes if Zach met them? Curious and apprehensive in equal measure, Zach lifted his gaze.

Holland’s eyes, the color of faded denim in the light of day, were black as the night against a backdrop of red, green, blue, and white lights that shone from the tree. Only inches away, they locked with Zach’s. Zach’s breath left him in a rush, fanning against Holland’s face. Holland’s gaze dropped to Zach’s lips.

Zach quivered, waiting.

Clearing his throat, Holland stood, towering above Zach at his full six-foot-two height. He held out a hand. “Let me walk you home.”

Zach slumped deeper into the snow and closed his eyes against the disappointment.

“Zach?”

Smiling gamely, Zach took Holland’s hand and let Holland pull him up and walk him home.

Welcome Helena Stone

Helena Stone is here to tell us about her Christmas Surprises!

Christmas Surprises

Thank you Lynn Michaels for inviting me to your blog and allowing me to tell you and your followers about my two new Christmas stories. Yes, you read that right:  two! Let me tell you how that happened.

Writing a Christmas story was the last thing on my mind this November. After all, I’d written one this summer, submitted it to Dreamspinner Press and, much to my delight, had it accepted for the 2018 Advent Calendar. So, as far as I was concerned, that was Christmas done and dusted—thank you very much.

But,  my muse being a temperamental creature, decided to show me another idea when I was about ten days into NaNoWriMo writing a completely different story. I know better than to ignore or annoy my muse, so I interrupted writing story #1 and dove, head first, into what would eventually be a 16k long Young Adult, Christmas, coming out tale.

And that’s why I’m here promoting not one, but two Christmas releases. I’ll start with the surprise story: A Miracle in the Library since that has been available for over two weeks by now.

Blurb

Seventeen-year-old Mitch McCann has been trying to dodge his bullies for eighteen months. He isn’t out, but that hasn’t stopped the popular gang at school from tormenting him for being gay. Three weeks before Christmas, in a desperate attempt to shake his pursuers, Mitch flees into the abandoned community hall, only to discover the building is far from empty; inside he finds a fully stocked library as well as Mr. Nichols, the very welcoming librarian.

The library turns into Mitch’s refuge of choice, where he can read books that answer his endless questions, without fear of encountering abuse. His peace of mind is shattered when nineteen-year-old Cian Leavy enters his sanctuary. Cian is the boy who made Mitch realize he’s gay, and he’s more attractive now than he was eighteen months ago, when Mitch literally ran into him.

Will Cian unwittingly disrupt Mitch’s life again? Or has the scene been set for a miracle in the library?

UNIVERSAL BUY LINK for Christmas in the Library

My second story, Too Hot for Santa, is, as I mentioned, part of the DSP Advent Calendar. As such, I have no clear idea when exactly it will go out to those who subscribed to the whole anthology, but, I can tell you all about the book.

Blurb

Jonah Walsh’s fledgling acting career in Dublin comes to an abrupt end when a video of him in a compromising position goes viral on social media. The offer of a part in a Christmas play in Sydney, Australia arrives at exactly the right time, although he isn’t sure about celebrating Christmas in the scorching heat. Nick Claseman isn’t happy that the actor he and his sister have hired will be occupying his granny flat. As for Jonah’s enthusiasm for Christmas, Nick doesn’t get it. He hasn’t decorated or celebrated in years.

When Jonah turns out to be anything but a stuck-up starlet with delusions of grandeur, and Nick proves he’s not usually grumpy and borderline hostile, the two men gravitate toward each other. Their attraction morphs into something more when Jonah reacquaints Nick with the pleasures of Christmas and Nick shows Jonah the beauty of Australia. But Jonah is only Down Under for a few months. It would take a Christmas miracle for them to have a future together.

At the time of writing this post, Too Hot for Christmas is only available on the Dreamspinner site. But, keep an eye out for social media posts from me. I’ll share the various other links as soon as they are available.

Author Bio

Helena Stone can’t remember a life before words and reading. After growing up in a household where no holiday or festivity was complete without at least one new book, it’s hardly surprising she now owns more books than shelf space while her Kindle is about to explode.

The urge to write came as a surprise. The realization that people might enjoy her words was a shock to say the least. Now that the writing bug has well and truly taken hold, Helena can no longer imagine not sharing the characters in her head and heart with the rest of the world.

Having left the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam for the peace and quiet of the Irish Country side she divides her time between reading, writing, long and often wet walks with the dog, her part-time job in a library, a grown-up daughter and her ever loving and patient husband.

Welcome A E Ryecart

Today’s guest is

A E Ryecart with

A Kiss Before Christmas and

Company for Christmas

A Kiss Before Christmas:

A Kiss Before Christmas: A snowy London love story

Christmas is looming and Jack De Lacy needs a solution to one hell of a fix.

Dumped by his boyfriend in favour of his best friend, Jack’s been busy bragging about the hot new man in his life.

A hot new man who doesn’t exist.

With an important function to attend where he’ll come face-to-face with his ex, Jack knows he’ll be a laughing stock when his boasts are exposed as nothing more than wishful thinking. He’s desperate but time, like his options, is running out.

Rory Kincaid is scared he won’t last another night sleeping rough on London’s frozen, snowbound streets. With all the homeless shelters full, Rory seeks refuge in the first empty doorway he stumbles across.

Finding Rory shivering in the sub-zero temperatures, Jack can no more send him away than kick a puppy out into the cold. A shower, shave and hot drink later, and the grubby street kid is transformed into a beautiful young man.

As the attraction between them grows, so does a plan that will get Jack out of the mess he’s in and give Rory a warm, safe home for Christmas. Sweet and adorable, Rory will make a great fake boyfriend for the festive season – the problem is, neither Jack nor Rory is sure where the make-believe ends and the truth begins.

Warning: this 37k novella contains a camp Christmas tree, a drag queen Christmas fairy called Doris, way too many jugs of eggnog, a closet posh boy, and the sweetest Kiss Before Christmas ever.

Available to buy on Amazon or read in KU.

Company for  Christmas:

Who says fairy tales are only make-believe?

Every night, Nathan works the street known as The Rack. Like every other rent boy, he dreams his Prince Charming will come and take him away to a better life.

Too bad Nathan’s stopped believing in fairy tales.

Max has everything except the one thing he craves: somebody to love, cherish, and protect.

Somebody to call his own.

When Nathan and Max’s worlds collide on the cold and grimy backstreet, little do they know that Christmas magic has already cast its spell.

Maybe fairy tales really can come true after all.

Available to buy on Amazon or read in KU.

Hello, I’m A E (or Ali as my readers know me). I write mm romance and gay fiction ranging from sweet and warm with all the fuzzies to gritty, hard-edged and challenging. Born and raised in London, I like to set my stories against the background of the big bad city. Much of the action takes place in around places I’ve lived, worked, or just spent time in – usually with a large glass of wine in hand it has to be said – but with a little artistic licence applied. I now live just outside London in a house that’s always untidy and with a husband who keeps me fueled with endless mugs coffee and, of course, glasses of wine.

Find me on my website at www.aeryecart.com where you can also sign up to my mailing list, and in return I’ll send you a free story as a big squishy thank you. Welcome Annabeth Albert

Today we have

Annabeth Albert and

Better Not Pout!

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is better-not-pout-annabeth-albert.jpg

Hi everyone! Thank you so much to Lynn for having me here. I wanted to talk about one of my favorite parts of the holiday season: Santa. Now I just turned 40, but I still believe in Santa. Why? Because I cherish what Santa represents.  To me, Santa stands for the spirit of doing something for someone else without expecting thanks or recognition, and for trying to do those selfless acts of giving in a way that promotes the magic of the holidays.

I’ve loved being Santa for my own kids, both of whom now know the truth about Santa, which is a little sad for me, but to me, the power of Santa goes deeper than merely Christmas morning surprises. Santa is the mystery donor in who paid off all the layaway items at an inner-city Walmart. Santa is the giving trees all across the country, and the kind donors who choose to fulfill the wishes from those requests. Santa is the food pantries and soup kitchens serving up holiday meals. Santa is the secret packages left on doorsteps and mailboxes.

Santa is more than the magic of the season too—the mall Santas hearing endless wishes, the hard working parents and relatives working to make those wishes come true. It’s not always easy being Santa, especially if your own cheer is in short supply!

In my latest release, BETTER NOT POUT, I wanted to capture this spirit of Santa with a reluctant hero who isn’t sure he has any holiday magic of his own. He learns that Santa is so much more than the suit, and the transformation in him also opens his heart to truelove. His co-hero is the embodiment of everything good about the holidays, and his belief in holiday magic really is a big part of what transforms my grumpy hero from solider to Santa.

If you’re interested, check out BETTER NOT POUT:

One hard-nosed military police officer.

One overly enthusiastic elf.

One poorly timed snowstorm.

Is it a recipe for disaster? Or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for holiday romance?

Teddy MacNally loves Christmas and everything that goes along with it. When he plays an elf for his charity’s events, he never expects to be paired with a Scrooge masquerading as Santa Claus. His new mission: make the holiday-hating soldier believe he was born to say ho-ho-ho.

Sergeant Major Nicholas Nowicki doesn’t do Santa, but he’s army to his blood. When his CO asks an unusual favor, Nick of course obliges. The elf to his Kris Kringle? Tempting. Too tempting—Nick’s only in town for another month, and Teddy’s too young, too cheerful and too nice fora one-night stand.

The slow, sexy make-out sessions while Teddy and Nick are alone and snowbound, though, feel like anything but a quick hookup. As a stress-free holiday fling turns into Christmas all year round, Teddy can’t imagine his life without Nick. And Nick’s days on the base may be coming to a close, but he doesn’t plan on leaving anything, or anyone, behind.

This book is approximately 65,000 words

She has both contemporary and paranormal titles and has been writing since 2014. Her stories don’t follow any set guidelines or ideas, but come from her heart and contain love in many forms.

http://www.extasybooks.com/lynn-michaels/

Here’s a short excerpt:

Lynn-logo1-small

Jack watched the two lovers kissing. It angered him. There he was slinging around a bit of wintry wonderland in a place that so desperately needed to chill out, and there they were heating it back up.

He reached out a hand and dipped some frost on the eaves above them. He took a breath and blew it out, directing it right at them. The cold didn’t deter them. The bigger one only pulled the smaller one in tighter.

That wouldn’t do.

Jack’s frigid heart seized a little. He wanted to see the lovers cold inside—wanted to freeze their hearts. He needed to do something about this. He stepped closer, examining them. He couldn’t find anything special there. How could they ignore the cold as if it didn’t bother them at all? They made it insignificant. Unimportant.

Curly brown hair fell along the edges of the taller one’s plain face. The shorter one wore his slightly darker hair straight and pushed back from his forehead. His face relaxed into pure bliss as the couple kissed. Jack wanted to freeze it that way.

He vowed to split this couple up. “Their love is meant to be destroyed.” He should forget this southern hell-scape and head north up to the mountains where he could roam the country. But he stayed. He could not let this go. Unreasonable. Irrational. The need to freeze their hearts moved through his blood like a glacier—imposingly large and desperate.

Welcome RJ Scott

RJ Scott is here with her Christmas line up on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.

Click for RJ Scott on Amazon

I’m sitting here writing this post and it is raining super hard. We’re in the middle of Storm Diana, which my son finds hilarious because my real name is Diane. LOL.

I would love the rain to turn to snow. I love the snow, the beauty of it, the feel of it, standing in softly falling snow, the rolling hills of my county all white…

Only, when England gets snow we’re not setup to handle it. We only need to get a quarter of an inch and the country is at a standstill. First we have the issue of not really having a lot of snow experience. So it’s an exciting thing to happen. Then we don’t have snow ploughs readily at hand, or solid infrastructure set up for snow. Schools close, railways stop running, airports are shut down. It’s all incredibly dramatic, and all for a tiny bit of snow.

Do you have snow where you are right now? A random commenter will win a $10 Amazon gift card (or equivalent in your currency).

More About RJ…

USA Today bestselling author RJ Scott writes stories with a heart of romance, a troubled road to reach happiness, and most importantly, a happily ever after.

RJ Scott is the author of over one hundred romance books, writing emotional stories of complicated characters, cowboys, millionaire, princes, and the men who get mixed up in their lives. RJ is known for writing books that always end with a happy ever after. She lives just outside London and spends every waking minute she isn’t with family either reading or writing.

The last time she had a week’s break from writing she didn’t like it one little bit, and she has yet to meet a bottle of wine she couldn’t defeat.

Welcome M. Jane Colette

M. Jane Colette has a steamy (very steamy) rom-com releasing just in time for the holidays! To celebrate, she’s sharing with us a short video, your choice of an NSFW (so dirty) or Cleanish (it is M. Jane Colette, so it’s as clean as she could manage–it was hard) excerpt, and a chance to win a PRINT copy of Text Me, Cupid. Check it out:

Text Me, Cupid
a (slightly) dirty love story for 21st century adults who don’t believe in true love… but want it anyway
by M. Jane Colette
Genres: contemporary romance, romantic comedy, steamy (occasionally filthy)

HOLIDAY STRESS HAS NEVER BEEN THIS HOT

MEET FLORENCE: I’ve done this before, looking for a partner or soul mate or someone-to-grow-to-love, and you know what? I’m done with that. Honestly. I’m just looking for some casual sex. All I’m interested in is a one-night stand, or several—not all of them with you. Just making it clear that I’m interested in playing with multiple partners. I don’t want to get attached and I don’t want you to get attached.

MEET WILL: I’m reeling from a recent divorce and incapable of having a meaningful relationship, possibly even a meaningful conversation. The only upside to my situation is that after fifteen years of monogamy I get to chase all the strange I want.

He’s freshly divorced and in denial. She’s twice-burnt and prickly. They’re a terrible idea. They know this. But every time their eyes meet, their clothes come off. Still—they’re not going to fall in love. They are not.

Not even if this one night stand has 365 days.

WANT A TASTE?

Here’s M. Jane Colette reading a semi-steamy (but still safe for YouTube and Facebook) excerpt from Text Me, Cupid:

Prefer to read?

WANT THE WHOLE THING?

Price: $3.99 US (ebook), $14.99 US (paperback), $9.99-$19.99 (audiobook)

BIO:

M. Jane Colette writes tragedy for those who like to laugh, comedy for the melancholy, and erotica for people who like their fantasies real. She believes rules and hearts were made to be broken; ditto the constraints of genres. Her novels include Tell Me, Consequences (of defensive adultery), and the award-winning rom-com Cherry Pie Cure.

ADVANCE PRAISE

“I couldn’t stop reading this! The waiting, the need, the want, the desire… the story is a rollercoaster and I love it. Will and Florence are so vivid on the page, I was in agony with them from the start.” Alyssa Linn Palmer, author of Midnight at the Orpheus and Le Chat Rouge series

“No one does angst, family drama, hilarity, joy and eroticism better than M. Jane Colette!” DIANA SOBOLEWSKI, author of The Desire & Luxury Wine Series, (on Messy Christmas, Episode 1 of Text Me, Cupid)

“Text Me, Cupid was the first story I’d read by M. Jane Colette, and I love her fresh, taut style. Every word, every sentence counts. It’s smart and sexy. I can’t wait to read the rest!” Michelle Orloff, GoodReads + Amazon.com ARC Review of Delayed Valentine, Episode 2 of Text Me, Cupid

“M. Jane Colette writes complicated relationship dynamics into story lines that keep you off balance but leave you smiling in the end.” Amazon.ca Verified Purchase Review, Delayed Valentine, Episode 2 of Text Me, Cupid

“She spotlights those less than perfect relationships; often the source of hilarity in this author’s work. M. Jane Colette has a unique writing style. At least it’s unique to me. She believes in short sentences and sparse dialogue. Don’t worry, you will not be short changed in any respect. You’ll visualize and experience everything you’re meant to, including the angst, the joy, the funny bits and all of the eroticism. This author doesn’t succeed despite her minimalist approach. She succeeds because of it. M. Jane Colette has mastered doing more with less.” Amazon.ca Verified Purchase Review, (on Messy Christmas, Episode 1 of Text Me, Cupid)

“M. Jane Colette knows how to write characters.” Caught Between The Pages (on Consequences)

“I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a sexy, intelligent, complicated, and fascinating read about relationships that are as complex and difficult and wonderful and confusing as most relationships usually are.” Grey Matter (on Tell Me)

“This book is a cure for divorce, depression, loneliness, boredom, you name it. Laugh-out-loud funny from the first page!” Holly Owen, Alberta Romance Writers’ Association (on Cherry Pie Cure)

“Warning: You may breakout in spontaneous laughter, develop cravings for baked goods and become a life-long devotee of the author!” Carrie Austin Reviews (on Cherry Pie Cure)

Welcome Sean Kerr

We have Sean Kerr today with his story

Jingle My Bells.

When Christmas arrives, it’s not only the Turkey that gets stuffed!

Michael’s life has changed dramatically, and as he heads home from his parent’s house and their traditional Christmas gathering, Michael can’t help but reflect on the reasons why his husband left him.

Michael knew it was his fault. It was just another tragedy to add to his growing list of woes. But just as he is about to reach the safety of his empty home, he witnesses something remarkable, a glowing U.F.O that lights up the sky above him. He can only watch in stunned amazement as something breaks away from the U.F.O and crashes into the surrounding forest.

Dazed by his extraordinary encounter, Michael is even more surprised to find a naked man in the middle of the road. As he tries to help the enigmatic stranger, Michael witnesses a miracle that changes his life forever, and Christmas is reborn in a heart he thought was forever broken.

Author Bio

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Sean Kerr, and I am a 49-year-old gay man living in Cardiff, Wales with my husband of 28 years, Derek. We have two cats, Rita and Harry, and a host of tropical fish.

I worked on building sites for years, and I used the money earned from that to put myself through college, specialist paint techniques etc. I trained in fine art, and then I went out and painted murals on client’s walls, and created Roman Bathrooms and fantasy hand painted bedrooms, all the rage back in the late eighties and nineties. I then became an Interior Designer for a large DIY chain. For the past thirteen years I ran my own Interiors business, and while that is no longer in existence, I am now looking for my next challenge in life!

By night I am an Author, and I am very proud to be an author for Extasy Books. It took me some years to get to this point. I spent a very long time trying to get an agent because I thought it was the right thing to do, and after a heck of a lot of refusals, I nearly gave up. I came so close to hitting the delete button on Dead Camp 1 because I thought I did not stand a chance. At the very last moment, I decided to have a go at approaching a few publishers directly, and I sent the manuscript to six. Within two weeks, I had offers of publication from three! Let’s just say that there may have been tears lol. It was my chance, at last, to become a part of a world that I have always loved and admired from a distance, and it is one of the very best things to ever happened to me.

Dead Camp is the first series I ever wrote, and then there is my short novella called Hush Little Baby. Dead Camp is my take on the Vampire genre, an MM Paranormal Romance series that is set against a backdrop of World War 2.However, the series uses key moments from History to tell one enormous saga, and I have loved every single moment of writing it. There are five books in the Dead Camp series.

Hush is a pure horror story with more than a nod towards such classic programs as The Twilight Zone and Tales of The Unexpected. The project happened just after I completed Dead Camp 3 and it is a story that I had to get out of my system. It’s definitely a different beast to my Vampire saga, and I hope it will make you go to bed with the lights on lol!

I recently ventured into the world of self-publishing, and as such, I have just released my first independent book series, The Last Child. The Last Child is a horror series that is in 3 parts dealing with the occult. It has a definite Dan Brown vibe in that I love conspiracy stories, so I have used religion and some intriguing legends as the backdrop to this contemporary supernatural thriller that tells the story of a female protagonist trying to protect her young student. Neither of them realizes how their lives, and indeed their histories, are intertwined in the most horrific and tragic ways.

My latest book, ‘The Man Inside Me’ is an MM Victorian Gothic Romance, and I think it is the favorite thing I have written so far. It deals with two men in their fifties trying to find love again, a subject that is very close to my heart as I approach that milestone. It is a very important book to me, and while it has some very ‘KERR’ twists and turns, it is, at its heart, a very romantic tale that deals with middle age. I am particularly proud of this book, and it is a very different spin on the MM genre.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to meeting you on social media.

Welcome Nicky James

Today we have Nicky James with The Christmas I know.

Andrew Walker has memories of what Christmas is supposed to be like. Having lived so many years without a family to share the holidays with, he’s determined to rebuild traditions with his fiancé, Val. However, Val’s ideal Christmas doesn’t align with Andrew’s.
Not only do the men come from two different worlds, but they live thousands of miles apart.
During a disastrous trip to Toronto to visit Val for the holidays, Andrew meets Xavier, a caring and thoughtful man who only wants to help Andrew out of a bad situation and get him where he’s supposed to be for Christmas.

Xavier grew up in a loving home filled with a holiday spirit that reminds Andrew of his childhood. Reflecting on life and love, Andrew realizes how mismatched he and Val truly are and wonders if this is the life he’s destined to live.

Perhaps being alone is better than settling for someone who doesn’t make him happy.

Except, no one should be alone at Christmas, so when Xavier finds out Andrew’s plan to travel home alone after ending his relationship with Val, he has a different agenda.

Maybe it’s time Andrew gets a taste of the Christmas he knows in his heart.

The Christmas I Know was written to be a breath of fresh air and a step away from my usual angsty stories. Growing up in a huge family, Christmas was always a time of year for traditions. They didn’t always involve extravagant gifts but were filled with little family-made fun times that I will never forget. They are the kinds of things that I carried on with my own family, and ones I hope will be taken to the next generation too.

In this story, Andrew has all kinds of memories of Christmas, including Christmas tree cutting, stringing popcorn, watching traditional movies, baking cookies, and listening to carols. However, it’s been a long time since he’s had anyone to share it with. His current fiancé doesn’t see what all the fuss is about.

While taking this writing journey, I brought my own Christmas traditions to life again, living them through Andrew and Xavier. Not everyone celebrates the same way—and there is nothing wrong with that—but finding that special someone who can enjoy the Christmas YOU know always makes life that much better.

I hope you enjoy

~Nicky ❤
